Ruth Kirk-Wilson (2008) Review of uptake of FSA Food Assurance Scheme Guidance by UK scheme operators for the Food Standards Agency Report, Document:
Abstract
The objective has been to assess how the schemes have developed since 2002,how far they have adopted the Agency guidelines and to suggest how they might develop in the future in the interest of the consumer. The review has taken into account the 2002 English Commission on Farming and Food recommendations on the revision of governance of Assured Food Standards (AFS) and the restructuring of the Red Tractor schemes. This has enabled AFS to bring substantial improvement to the 10 schemes within its spectrum. This has been very significant for the assurance area.
